ABOUT ME

I'm a software developer currently completing a vocational qualification in software development alongside full-time work. I enjoy building reliable software with Python, Django, C#, and Unity, and I'm particularly interested in backend development, software architecture, and solving practical problems through clean, maintainable code.

Get to know me!

My path into software development began after more than 15 years working in warehouse logistics and operational processes. Working alongside business software every day gave me first-hand insight into how technology supports real-world operations and sparked my interest in learning how those systems are built.

Today I enjoy learning by building practical projects that challenge me to understand software beneath the surface. Whether it's developing a Django web application, creating gameplay systems in Unity, or exploring algorithms and software architecture, I enjoy breaking complex problems into smaller pieces and building solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and easy to understand.

I'm always looking for opportunities to learn something new and expand my skills. My goal is to combine my practical industry experience with strong software engineering principles while continuing to grow as a developer and build software that people genuinely enjoy using.

    A Django-based portfolio website built to showcase my projects, highlight my backend development skills, and give me a customizable, database-driven platform for future demos and tools.

    A from-scratch JSON parser and validator built in Python to deeply understand parsing, recursion, and data validation. The project includes tokenization, syntax validation, detailed error reporting, and a comprehensive test suite.

    Jv-compression-tool

    A pure Python Huffman compression tool built from scratch, covering frequency analysis, tree construction, bit-level packing, custom headers, and file-level compression/decompression. Designed with a modular architecture and developed using test-driven development.
